This is a short, plain description of what this website, pact-gateway.com, does with information about you. It is written by the people who built it, not by lawyers, and it is meant to be true rather than exhaustive. pact-protocol.com and pact-cloud.com are separate sites with their own privacy pages; the whitepaper registration is pact-protocol.com's, and its page says what it stores.
What we collect, and why
This site has no forms, no accounts and no cookies. It stores nothing about you itself. What it records is analytics, below.
Analytics
This site uses two analytics services, and nothing more than they need.
Mixpanel counts how the site is read. Four things are recorded: that a page was opened, how far down it you scrolled, which of the Sign in, Get early access and About PACT Cloud buttons you clicked, and how long the visit lasted. That is the whole list. There is no session recording — your pointer movement and keystrokes are not captured. Data goes to Mixpanel's EU servers, and the Mixpanel script is served from this site rather than a third-party host.
Mixpanel is on by default. You can turn it off — and back on — at any time using in the footer; the choice is stored in your browser.
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views. It sets no cookie, stores nothing in your browser and gives you no identifier; for each page view it receives the page's address, the page you came from, your browser and device type and your country as Cloudflare derives them, and how quickly the page loaded. Its script is loaded from Cloudflare. It is not affected by the Mixpanel setting above, because it is what lets us count visits whatever that setting is.
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, neither service is loaded and you will not be asked.
What we do not do
We do not sell or share anything about you, and we do not run advertising trackers.
Deletion
Turning Mixpanel off in clears the identifier this browser used. What Mixpanel already holds is subject to their retention settings for our project. Cloudflare Web Analytics holds nothing that identifies you.
